Acceptable Use Policy

Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: 17 September 2026

Draft — pending legal review

This policy describes how EPWT operates and is being finalised with our legal advisers. Until then it is provided for information and may change.

1. Purpose

EPWT hosts a catalogue of energy, protection, wellness and related consumer goods. This policy states what may not be listed, bought, or paid for on the platform, and what happens if it is. It forms part of our Terms & Conditions.

2. Who it binds

This policy binds buyers, paid members, partner sellers (vendors, when introduced), and anyone using an EPWT account. Coordinators acting for EPWT must also refuse to collect or ship anything that breaches this policy.

3. Prohibited goods and conduct

The following may not be listed, sold, bought, or paid for on EPWT:

  • Illegal goods or services under Nigerian law; stolen property; or fraudulently obtained items.
  • Counterfeit, replica, or falsely branded products.
  • Weapons, ammunition, explosives, and military-grade equipment.
  • Adult sexual content or services, and pornography.
  • Prescription-only or controlled medicines, and any health product EPWT is not permitted to list.
  • Hazardous materials that we are not equipped to ship safely.
  • Listings that misrepresent who the seller is, the origin of the goods, the price, or the available stock.
  • Payments abuse — including triangulation, friendly (first-party) fraud, inflating consignment, fictitious orders, or any attempt to move value through EPWT as if it were a wallet.
  • Circumventing verification (KYC), using another person's NIN, BVN or bank account, or refusing collection after a sale.

4. Payments and payouts

Customers pay EPWT as the merchant of record. Refunds are made on the original Paystack transaction, to the original payment channel — never through an internal balance or "wallet". Partner sellers, and members earning from resale or referrals, are paid only by Paystack Transfer after the relevant order line is completed, to a bank account whose name matches their verified identity.

EPWT may delay a payout, split it into reviewed batches, or refuse a Transfer that exceeds configured limits or that we reasonably suspect breaches this policy or applicable law.

5. Enforcement

Where this policy is breached, EPWT may:

  • Remove or refuse listings.
  • Cancel uncollected or unshipped order lines and refund the buyer on the original payment channel.
  • Void any payable and withhold or reverse a payout.
  • Suspend or terminate accounts.
  • Report to Paystack, banks, or law enforcement where required.

6. Contact

Compliance and takedown requests can be sent to support@epwt.org or through the Support section in the app.

This policy may be expanded with examples and a change-log over time. Any update will strengthen or clarify the prohibitions above, not weaken them. EPWT Marketplace — Energy · Protection · Wellness · Transformation.
